What Needs to Happen —–——–

.- Outsourced Webmail is one of the greatest sources of leakage of personal and professional information through their hosts, whether they are commercial internet portals giving away free email accounts or internet service providers (ISP’s), and from there on to the Data Brokers or whoever person or government wants to buy. As a mail service user, you want to implement your own email service hosted by you in your house with your own dedicated computer with its own software email server. By using those outsourced email services, you sure are undermining your own competitive chances in anything and everything, innocuously creating competitors and road blockers for yourself for jobs or otherwise, and giving the merchants of the world an edge on you as a buyer (everyone knows what social media has become for hiring). You are even undermining your own political choices and wishes because government has access to this mountain of private citizens’ communications which the hosts siphon to them in droves upon authorized requests. Do not believe any email service provider that contends they are not reading your emails line by line; suffice it to apply an AI agent on your stack of emails for them to be totally mined and deciphered in the most fulsome way possible, as it has been in effect routinely done for decades now to develop AI, some would say at the public expense. Once you put up your home email proxy server, this pervasive leakage will be eliminated, while email messaging will of course be accessible by you from anywhere as a Webmail, just as the current one that you may or most probably have. And you could of course still use your favorite email program on any PC to process email messaging.

.- You want a drastic cleanup of your internet navigation in order to block trackers that are forever stalking you in a bid to scrape your life, what you do, where you go, in which particular circumstances, what your tastes are, what you eat, where you work, where you shop, who your friends are, who you like to talk to… so that they can feed you the advertisements that give them the chance to make quite a few bucks off of you, in one way or another, day or night, forever. For that, you need a software Name Server with the ability to block the internet web-based advertising networks, essentially by resolving their names. And at the same time, it will reclaim a lot of the bandwidth that these abusers are stripping your household of, which you are yourself paying for. It will even work for your cell phones. The elders may remember the days when fax machines used to be flooded with advertisements, in a much higher proportion than expected useful peer communications on the phone line service that users were paying for, to the point that legislation was necessary to stave the abuse off. That is where we are today with internet advertising networks but with no end in sight.

.- You will want to setup a Web Server for a family website to present the highlights of your household you wish to share with the world, your remote relatives, and your neighbors. For these yard or estate sales that you may want to conduct in order to declutter or dispose of unnecessary items, collectibles, antiques, these kitchen appliances, electronics, etc., or to trade craft items, anything your talent has produced. Some people even drive around neighborhoods to check for garage sales, while garage sale organizers advertise them with flyers on street posts in immediate vicinity. Exposure on a web server as a domestic portal neatly takes care of that. Of course, the question that comes to mind is who is going to find your family portal if there is no external search service to map them. That is not really a problem as ways to overcome this caveat do exist.

.- You don’t need a so-called cloud drive, third-party owned, to store the footage of your front and back door cameras, exposing your life business, value of your property with social ranking of your community, to scrapers who will make them work against you in one way or another. You can simply have a network-attached storage device (NAS) on your intranet so you can take care of storage of your cameras’ footage by yourself. You can securely connect to this footage remotely when you are out of town via VPN links (Virtual Private Networking tunnels thru the internet) to monitor your property as needed.

.- This domestic portal structure would obviously make neighborhood safety and neighborhood crime watches much easier to carry out as well, thereby aiding to local police, and providing a more efficient community security service. Only limited by people’s imagination. Street neighbors could set a system whereby a suspicious intruder or a dangerous animal on a property could trigger an email alert to all the publicized webmaster emails on the street portals. Being alerted on a neighborhood fire when you are not home comes as another superlative benefit. Even city governments could tap into this to send out notification emails to street residents whenever public works of some kind ought to be undertaken on a particular street or the to-be affected residences. It would make possible as well feedback from residents on the quality of the job done once completed. God knows how many times PW workers take off leaving behind an uneven and bumpy pavement, not as smoothly passible as it was before, and causing accelerated mechanical wear or damage to our vehicles.

.- What you’ve been sold for connectivity in the home is WiFi, basically wireless connectivity in the GHz range between your many devices and your internet gateway most frequently. Even when a wireless router is on premise, most do not extend the full capabilities of the router to support a domestic intranet, or home communication infrastructure, which includes and allows all of the above. So it does not matter whether the connectivity layer supporting devices is realized via wireless links, aka WiFi, or wired links aka older networking cabling with ethernet wall jacks. What you most notably need is the addition of computing hardware and software to be ported by this physical network in order to achieve the goals that we have laid out.
